Round 1: Written Test In written test there were 50 multiple choice questions divided into 3 sections, time allocated was 60 min. No negative markings were there but there were sectional cut offs for every section. There were 3 sections in the test Section 1: 30 questions on C, C++, DS, Algorithms ( questions were like find out the output, which type of errors, the flow of the program, memory management, pointers, array, structure, linked list, stack, BST, AVL trees, etc. ) Section 2: 10 questions on Operating System ( questions like memory management algorithms, deadlock, find process time, look-aside buffer memory, process scheduling, etc. ) Section 3: last 10 questions were Analytical, which include logical reasoning, number series, logical puzzles, etc. Total 150 students were appeared for the written test out of which 31 were shortlisted. Round 2: Technical Interview I Before entering the room we had some talk, they were very cool! Questions: 1. Tell me about your...

Java Question Bank | Rajat Varyani

In quest of the interview preparation, I became fond of Java. Hence I created this personalised question bank which I used to revise. The question bank is very extensive and covers many critical aspects of Java Programming. Use this to full effect and I can say you will never get it wrong when it comes to Java questions. These questions have been collected from various sources.   General Questions Is Java pass by value or pass by reference?  Does Java support multiple inheritance? Why/Why not? Why the main method is public void and static? Difference Deep copy and shallow copy?  What is marker interface? What does it do? (Explain annotations as well) How to create an immutable object in Java? Count all benefits. (Tough) Explain keywords in Java? eg static native transient volatile final. Why static should be avoided? Difference btw jdk jre and jvm.  Object orientation Explain the principles of OOPS. What is the difference between Encapsulat...

Veritas | Mahesh Bhosale

Veritas was there in our college for campus placements around in September 2016, they started with presentations and explained values of the Veritas and job role. In the presentation, itself they mentioned having good understanding of Veritas as a company, its products, and other services. Point to make is that, this part helped me a lot, in HR interview: when HR asked me to tell about “Why you want to join Veritas?” And “How much do you know about Veritas?” So, from the start of the whole process, maintain notes of things, which you think can help you cracking interviews. Round 1: On-line coding round and MCQ questions They used Hackerank’s on-line coding platform for this round. 45 mins were given to solve the test comprising of 2 coding question and 30 MCQ questions. MCQs contained questions of C, C++, Java, Data structures (Trees, Graph, Linked lists and running time complexities of algos.), Database (Queries on tables, Normal forms), OS(Virtual memory, paging, and segmentatio...

ThoughtWorks | Eaton | Sujata Regoti

How do you feel on achieving this special feat? ThoughtWorks is a great place to start a career as a software developer. So I felt happy after cracking interviews and getting offer in an unexpected way i.e. through off-campus. Yes!! I failed in campus hiring which actually helped me to boost and prepare, focus on my area of improvement, so I got to learn that “Failure is the success if we learn from it”. Sure, this is not the end, just start. Please brief us about the interview process. I passed through Eaton as well as ThoughtWorks interview process. Let me explain both. Eaton : Total Rounds: 2 Rounds: 1. Technical interview 2. HR interview About each round: Technical interview: Questions on project such as what kind of project, database schema used, query to get required details based on that schema etc., on Java like can abstract class have constructors, can be overloaded, how to call that constructors etc., on C like difference betwee...

Nvidia | Kishor Kamble

I had a campus interview of NVIDIA at my college, Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli for Tool Developer. Following were the four rounds, it took me two days. Round 1 - Written Test In the first round, there were 50 MCQs and time allocated was one hour. There were three sections:  The first section was based on C/C++, Data Structure questions. In C/C++ section there were questions like finding the output of a program, logical errors, the flow of program, memory management, pointers, array, structure etc. The questions were a bit difficult. The same section includes questions on data structure like linked lists, AVL trees, BST, graphs. The first section had 30 questions. The second section was on Operating System, there were 10 questions, which includes questions on memory management algorithms, deadlock, finding process time etc. I found this section more challenging than the others. The third section was on Logical Questions such as finding next word/number,...
